Whatever the outcome of this election may be, here’s a place where we’ll probably need to shop at… Described as ‘apothecaries for the mind’, The School of Life first opened in 2008 in London and now has branches throughout the world, in Paris, Melbourne, Istanbul, Berlin, Antwerp, Amsterdam, Zurich, Tel Aviv, Taipei Sydney, Seoul, and Sao Paulo.
The School of Life was founded by philosopher Alain de Botton and Sophie Howarth, a former curator from Tate Modern, in collaboration with a number of writers, artists and educators, including philosophers Mark Vernon, Robert Rowland Smith and writer John Armstrong, as well as photographer Martin Parr and journalist Rosie Boycott.

It also offers a variety of programmes and services including psychotherapy and bibliotherapy services.
